About Us

Scott Armour, a Certified Driver Rehab Specialist (CDRS), has been in the field of Driver Rehabilitation since 1991.  He originally worked for South Bend Memorial Hospital’s Rehab Technology Center (RTC) in Indianapolis for five years prior to starting his own driver rehab business.  In 1994 he was among the last group of driver rehab professionals to receive a Certificate of Professional Recognition from the Assosication of Driver Educators for the Disabled (ADED) in all three certificate areas of: neurosensory, adaptive modified automobile, and adaptive modified van.  The next year he was among the first group of driver rehab professionals to sit for ADED’s new certification test and receive the Certified Driver Rehab Specialist (CDRS) credentials.

Scott has been a long time member of ADED (now known as The Association for Driver Rehab Specialists) and is an associate member of NMEDA (National Mobility Equipment Dealers Association).  He has worked with all types and levels of disabilities including low vision (bioptics), physical (low to high tech adaptive driving equipment), and cognitive.

Assistive Driving Services was established in January 1997 and is a family owned and operated business.  Although our office is located in central Indiana – Scott travels to each client to provide services.
