In my years of working with Scott I have always found him to be professional in his manner. He is responsive to my questions and willing to work through any issues or problems. He is very competent and dedicated to teaching. Several individuals are driving now as a result of his instruction. He has opened doors and given independence back to individuals who thought they were no longer able to live a productive, independent and satisfying life.

Scott,
Just wanted to take the time to thank you and Assistive Driving Services for all the time and work you put in helping me obtain my bioptic driver’s license. Not only did you help me learn everything I needed to know to pass my drive test but I passed with a 100% and I don’t think I could have even got that far had it not been for your help and the fact that you set the bar high. Thank you for also for putting me out of my comfort zone. I truly believe it will make me a better driver. Lastly I want to thank your family for supporting both you and me when you had to spend time away from you home and family during my training last summer. Fifty hours may not seem like much until you have to be away from the people who mean the most to you so that you can help people who need your assistance to obtain their dream. So I think they deserve my thanks as well for the support.
Again my thanks and prayers go with you and Assistive Driving Service for your help.

Dear Scott,
I just wanted take a moment and tell you how much I appreciated all of your help and expertise in getting my lift installed in the bed of my truck. It was not the normal install ! I now can load and unload my scooter by myself and I now feel a little more independent.
You were very professional and understanding to all my limitations even if I’m still pretty hard headed on some things.
I was pretty nervous on my driving evaluation but you did a awesome job explaining everything to me and that was huge in making me feel more comfortable throughout this process.
You are a true asset to all of us with disabilities.
Kind Regards,
J.D.

Scott,
We are thankful to have your guidance throughout the process of getting this new van. It was great to have you train me to drive my first van 13 years ago and now for my second van.
Thank you for making sure that all my needs were being met. We appreciate you working so closely with us to resolve all the little and big issues that came up. We know that we are in good hands when we work with you.
Thank you again for all your hard work to make this possible.
Sincerely,
Brad D.

Dear Mr. Armour,
I would like to thank you and Assistive Driving Services for your support in making my dream of driving a reality!
It has been a blessing knowing such a person as yourself. A person I have come to see as a God sent angel, giving the disabled the freedom of independence.
Scott, you will always be in my prayers of best wishes!
Thank God, for the blessing!

My name is John, and I live in Evansville, Indiana. I am 43 years old and have been driving for about a year and a half. I never thought I would be able to drive, but thanks to the bioptic lens and Assistive Driving Services, I do.
I can’t say bioptic driving would be good for everyone. I did a lot of soul-searching as I went through the training. I was not just looking to pass, I wanted to make sure I could be safe on the road. For me, it came down to one day. I drove about 125 miles in the rain one day. Towards the end of the day, I came through a construction zone in a pouring rain. I looked back on that day and thought if I could see OK in those conditions, I could see enough to drive.
If you’re nervous going into the training, that’s a good thing because it’s not something to take lightly, but I would highly recommend it. Scott at Assistive Driving Services did a great job in working with me. I trusted him to keep me safe as I learned, and he did.
